Over 350 People Attended the Meet & Greet!
The 13th Annual Goals for Giving took place on Sunday, March 12th, 2017 at the Flyers Skate Zone in Northeast Philly. Lintons associates volunteered for the event, working alongside the NHS Human Services in Lafayette Hill. Before the scheduled start time of 12 pm, everyone in attendance had the chance to participate in our "Chuck-a-Puck" fundraiser or take a chance in one of our 25 raffle baskets.
The Bucks County Admirals were first in line to start the event, as an exhibition game was scheduled from 12 pm-1 pm. The NHS Human Services "Blue Thunder" vs. "White Lightning" Annual Celebrity Hockey Game was next, with this year's Celebrity's including Philadelphia Flyer's own Brian Propp, John LeClair, Jim Dowd, Kjell Samuelsson, and Todd Fedoruk.
Courtney Dininny, Lintons Office Assistant, sang the National Anthem before the Celebrity Hockey game. The "Chuck-a-Puck" fundraiser took place after the second period and was won by a Flyers fangirl in the crowd, Grace.
At the conclusion of the Celebrity Hockey game, ticket holders for our Meet & Greet Reception at the Southampton Room for a buffet style dinner and our silent auction full of Flyers memorabilia and electronics. Towards the end of the dinner, the Celebrity players offered their time for autographs.
Over $110,000.00 was raised for NHS Foundation and specifically the IDD Prom and Autism School Lunch Program.
