In addition, the company implemented a custom nutrition and menu website individualized to their schools for the benefit of students, parents and staff.

Lintons Food Service Management exceeds the needs of our clients’ while maintaining the flexibility to offer solutions when the need arises. Managing the Nutritional aspects for our clients, requires an appreciation of today’s environment, every changing regulations and its challenges. Lintons understands that every program we serve is unique and has different needs, developing several service options.

On the culinary end, Lintons Schools Division has focused this past year on a variety of new menu items. Some of the specific ones that have gone over well include grilled cilantro lime chicken, Old Bay fish sandwich, spicy chicken burrito bowl, spicy vegetarian burger wrap and strawberry spinach salad.

Also in the past year, Lintons has created a new position in its schools division, Director of Child Nutrition Education and Community Outreach, who will work directly with school managers and clients in preparing for administrative reviews, keeping up with and communicating federal meal program regulation changes, developing student internship/mentoring programs, developing and tackling professional standards and working within school communities to support their neighborhoods.

Lintons production systems have moved to working directly with the CN Resource school nutrition consulting firm and PrimeroEdge software so everything is on one platform. It has also been working with Vetri Community Partnership to implement its Eatiquette family-style dining program in a number of its school sites.
