National School Breakfast Week (NSBW) was established in 1989 as an annual observance that promotes the value of a healthy, school breakfast for students in K-12 schools.
In districts all across the country this school year, breakfast participation has been soaring, largely, thanks to federal flexibilities that provide for universal-free meals throughout School Year 2021-22.

Celebrations like NSBW are great opportunities to nourish your own spirit, as well!

This year’s official campaign theme, “Take Off With School Breakfast!” leverages the enduring fascination we have with beings who possess extraordinary powers and use those powers to do good deeds.
Superheroes are ready for action and the next new challenge. They exude energy and enthusiasm. They are capable of great things.
A healthy breakfast at the start of the day is a great way to ensure students are nourished and ready to learn.
At Lintons, Associates proudly wore NSBW T-shirts for the week. Units displayed posters and flyers and served theme meals. All to encourage children to start their day with a healthy breakfast so they can “Take-Off” like a superhero and learn like a champion.
Students, faculty, and parents took part this year with educational activities that were made available on LintonsSmartCafé.com.
But the most exciting part of the NSBW was the prize drawing on Friday. Students at participating Units had the chance to win great prizes like WaWa or Sheetz gift cards, headphones, and earbuds. Every time they purchased lunch they receive a raffle ticket. Their names were written on the ticket and placed in a drawing box. At the end of the week, winners were picked from all the names submitted.
