National School Lunch Week
November 01, 2017

Created in 1962 by President John F. Kennedy, National School Lunch Week celebrates the benefits of the National School Lunch Program (the largest federal child nutrition program). This year, National School Lunch Week was October 9-13, and the theme “Recipes for Success” was designed to showcase our school lunch story, and highlight the ingredients that make Lintons’ school lunch menus special. From local food and farmers to salad bars to the behind-the-scenes teamwork that makes every tray of food possible.  The week recognized the importance of a healthy school lunch in a child’s life, and the impact it has inside and outside of the classroom.
